It's funny how life works, about two years ago I started realizing how fast time was flying by for me. Every single day, week, and month seems to be going faster and I finally started to embrace the realities of life. When you stop and think for a moment and realize that your timeline, compare to everything around us, is not even a blink of an eye. Our time on this world is so brief and we need to be thankful everyday.
I'm so thankful that all three of my children are grown and doing their own things, which allow me to focus on my goals as I approach the golden years. I'm basically working now part-time and pretty much have more time to start laying the foundation for the next chapter of my life. I'm half-way into my 57th year and now focusing on getting fit and healthy conquering my timeline for as long as possible. Being fit and healthy will allow me to someday go back to Cambodia and look for what is left of my original family. Responsibilities have been keeping me here, it has been almost 50 years since I was separated from my family back in 1975.
The feeling of not knowing if any of your family members are still alive has fuel my motivation to get into shape and start planning my finding closure trip to Cambodia. Getting into shape at this point of my life took a lot of commitment and consistency. There is no biological clock when it comes to getting fit and healthy. It does help working part-time and especially working at a school because of all the flexible time and vacations. Even better for me, because one day while working at school, I hit the fitness lottery. I met a guest speaker, Victor Reynoso, during one of the morning assembly who later on became my personal boxing trainer.
Victor who is an alumnus at the school where I work, a career person, and a promising professional boxer, started training me on how to box back in August 2024. This is what I was looking for, a new training routine to get into shape, because I was hitting a plateau with my running routine. My relationship with Victor is a storybook in itself literally, I recently wrote a short read book and it's available now on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/author/chute, this is the second volume to my Surviving Your Timeline book series. To sum it up, the book is about surviving your timeline for as long as possible so you can live a happy and productive life. It’s not just about getting old, it’s how are you going to embrace and conquer your timeline as you approach the golden years. And for me, conquering my timeline at 57 years old and beyond is crucial for entering the next chapter of my life. I’m hoping by becoming physically IN-Crushable I can conquer my timeline and go look for my family back in Cambodia.
There is no Biological clock when it comes to getting fit and healthy, let's get it!
